Jewellery Do’s & Don’tsUpdated 2 months ago

Your jewellery is crafted to last, but like all precious things, it deserves thoughtful care. Here are our top tips for keeping your Black Finch pieces sparkly.

When to Remove Your Jewellery:

Exercise: Weight lifting or high-intensity training can put pressure on your jewellery. Swimming frequently in chlorine can react with metals, and impact or repetitive motion may loosen settings.

Showering or bathing: Soap and shampoo can dull gemstones by trapping residue in settings.

Sleeping: Heat and pressure while sleeping may distort delicate pieces or cause unintentional damage. We recommend removing jewellery before bed.

Skincare and beauty products: Perfumes, lotions, makeup and hair products can build up on stones, dulling their natural sparkle.

Cooking and cleaning: These can introduce chemicals, food debris or heat, all of which may compromise your jewellery.

Gardening or crafting: Manual tools and pressure can bend or scratch metal, even when gloves are worn.
