Unfortunately not. We’re not able to re-purpose the exact gold from your original piece into a new one. This is because when jewellery is melted down, trace alloys, solder, and impurities from previous repairs or wear can compromise the structural integrity of the new piece. To ensure strength, durability, and colour consistency, the refining process involves melting and recycling gold in larger batches where it is purified and re-alloyed to industry standards.

While your specific gold cannot be directly transformed, it is still honoured through our Gold Swap program. Your jewellery is sustainably recycled, and you’ll receive store credit to put towards a new Black Finch piece.
